Atlanta 5K Race Honors Fallen Officer David Rose and Supports His Family Through Community Spirit
On Saturday, runners participated in Atlanta’s Finest annual 5K race to raise funds for the family of DeKalb County police Officer David Rose, who was killed while responding to an active shooter incident outside the CDC. Nearly 1,700 participants joined the event, with all registration proceeds dedicated to Officer Rose’s family, while moments of silence were observed in his honor.
In addition to the race, a GoFundMe campaign has been established to further support Rose’s family as investigations continue into the shooter’s motives.
