Atlanta Police Conduct Major Training Exercise at Georgia Aquarium During Rush Hour Shutdown

On Wednesday afternoon, Atlanta law enforcement will conduct scenario-based training at the Georgia Aquarium, resulting in significant police presence and the closure of Baker Street to vehicles and pedestrians from 4 to 11 p.m. The aquarium will close to the public two hours early at 4 p.m. While the specifics of the drill remain unclear, similar exercises have been held in the past, including an active shooter scenario in 2021.
