Ten-year-old Zoya Zolfaghari, who has no memories of her father, Shahriar Zolfaghari, is learning about him through her mother, Camila Zolfaghari. Shahriar was tragically killed in a shooting while working as a Lyft driver in Atlanta in June 2016. Zoya’s mother, Camila, expressed relief at the recent developments in the case, stating that the family continues to honor Shahriar’s memory while navigating their grief.
After nearly eight years, justice has been served as Edward Lee Tucker, the alleged killer, was charged with Shahriar’s murder in April 2024 by a Fulton County grand jury. The shooting is believed to have been motivated by robbery. Zoya and Camila have been seeking justice for their beloved husband and father since the tragic incident.
In September 2024, Edward Lee Tucker finally faced charges for the murder of Shahriar Zolfaghari. Zoya and Camila continue to cherish memories of Shahriar while finding closure and seeking justice for his untimely death.
