Road Rage Nightmare in Smyrna Leaves 6-Year-Old Boy Injured as Gunfire Erupts on Atlanta Streets

On June 18, 2023, in Smyrna, Teria McCrary was driving with her fiancé and three children when they were involved in a road rage incident that escalated into gunfire.

A man, later identified as Craig Calhoun, shot at their vehicle, striking McCrary’s 6-year-old son, Asher, who has since undergone four surgeries and remains hospitalized.

Both Calhoun and McCrary’s fiancé, Eric Rushing, are facing charges and are currently in Cobb County jail, as the family copes with the trauma of the incident and the long recovery ahead for Asher.
