Search Underway for Missing Girls and Man in Middle Georgia River After Disappearance in Amerson Park

Authorities are searching for three individuals, including two girls aged 7 and 10, who disappeared in the Amerson River in Macon, Georgia, on Tuesday evening around 7:30 p.m. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reported that the group suddenly went under while in the water. Dive teams suspended their search at 9 p.m. but will resume Wednesday morning, with the park closed during the operation.
