Volunteer Firefighter Accused of Sharing Disturbing Photos of Twin Brothers Found Dead on Bell Mountain in Georgia
A volunteer firefighter is facing backlash for allegedly sharing photos taken at the scene where 19-year-old twin brothers, Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis, were found dead on Bell Mountain in northeast Georgia. The firefighter, who is employed by the Towns County Fire Rescue Department, is currently being charged with obstruction, although they have not been linked to the brothers’ deaths. However, the case has gained national attention as the twins’ family disputes the initial narrative of the deaths being a murder-suicide, with their aunt even fundraising nearly $29,000 for funeral expenses and demanding further investigation into the circumstances surrounding their tragic loss.
The controversy erupted after news broke that the volunteer firefighter had allegedly shared photos taken at the scene of the Lewis twins’ death on March 8. These photos were shared on social media, raising concerns about privacy and ethics in local crime reporting. The tragic loss of the twins has already sparked national outrage, but the additional violation of their privacy has only added to the family’s pain.
As the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) continues to look into the case, questions have arisen about the circumstances surrounding the brothers’ deaths and the actions of the volunteer firefighter. The twins’ family is seeking answers and justice, while also calling for stricter regulations on privacy and ethics in local crime reporting.
